Pastor Chris: The Man Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7, 1963 in Edo State in Nigeria. He grew up in a family of faith with loving, dedicated parents. He is the eldest of three sons born to Elder T.E Oyakhilome (one of the founders of Assemblies for God Church in Benin City) and Angelina. Angelina was the matriarch and imprinted her faith in God on her son from an early age.
The whole family is actively involved with the LoveWorld ministry. His brother, Reverend Ken is the renowned Pastor of Christ Embassy's Houston, Texas Church and is a member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council, and his sister, KattyWorghiren, is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry (LMAM), where there are a number of top gospel artists in the world.
Pastor Chris is blessed with two daughters, Charlene and Carissa Sharon. Carissa Sharon decided to follow her father's lead of sharing the Word of God to all people. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started his education at Edo College. After a scholarship was awarded to study the field of architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University) He received the BSc degree in Architecture and an honorary Doctor of Science. He also has an honorary doctorate in divinity awarded by the Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was his first university. He was called from God to be a minister and to serve the Lord.
