HOW TO INSTALL .JAR MODS!

Your explanation of how to install Java mods is wrong. The reason is because when you put the java file in the mod folder, it will work as a basic mod until another section in the ".minecraft" folder is used. This is what I mean.

1. Copy/cut the jar file, but don't yet paste it. 2. Open the versions folder and create a new folder based on what you would like to call it 3. Paste Minecraft Servers into the folder you just made. Copy the jar file into the folder once more however this time with a new name. Open the jar file with notepad, copy all the text and close the file 6. Copy the file and delete it. Create a new file (most likely a txt file) and name it exactly the same way as the jar file is called 8. Once you have it exactly written as the Jar file and saved with the same name as an .json file 9. Open the json file with notpad and copy the next copy you copied 10. Launch the launcher and select the mod you wish to "made."

10,5. If this doesn't work, do these steps 11. Open the version folder. Select the folder that you don't need. If the mod uses 1.7.10 you'll need to locate a folder that runs 1.7.10 Minecraft version 12. Paste the jar file in the folde you selected and change the name exactly as the json file is called 13. Launch the launcher, and then select the version

If you're unable to locate the folder, you can go back to the versions folder and look for the folder that was last edited. You can then change the name of it according to your preference. I suggest that you rename the files inside that folder exactly as the folder is named.
