DESIGNING FOR YOUTH-CENTERED MODERATION AND NEIGHBORHOOD GOVERNANCE IN MINECRAFT


Online settings have been recommended as viable websites for youth to develop social, emotional, and technical expertise that can positively shape their conduct online. However, little work has been done to know how on-line governance constructions may support (or hinder) such studying. Using mixed-methods analysis, we report findings from a 2-12 months, in-the-wild examine of 8-13 yr olds on a customized multiplayer Minecraft server. Minecraft servers -half examine focuses on the design of youth-centered models of community governance drawn from proof-based mostly offline practices within the prevention and studying sciences.
