Have you played Minecraft on an M1 Mac?

The reviews of the latest Macs, particularly the MacBook Pro, make me think of upgrading my Surface Pro 4 to a Mac. I used to be a Mac user back in the Snow Leopard to Mavericks days but I changed to Windows in the past few years.
I have a lot of programs I use that I've heard users say that work perfectly on M1 however, does anyone know if Minecraft (Java) can be played on an M1 Mac? It's one of my most played games, and I don't think I could replace my PC with a computer that doesn't support my favorite game. minecraft skyblock servers know Java exists for ARM however I haven't heard anybody playing Minecraft on an M! Mac as of yet!

It is highly recommended. The M1 Mac will blow your surface to the ground performance wise. It's only a matter of time before Minecraft is optimized to the M1. It's possible to run either version until then. Bedrock (because M1's can natively run apps for iOS and iPadOS) as well as Java (translated real-time running Rosetta 2 that is built in. There is no noticeable difference).
I side loaded Minecraft to my M1 Mac but keyboard and mouse don't work. How did you side load it, sir?

Information from the video: Java does not have a native M1 app , therefore it has to make use of Rosetta 2 Emulation.
He looked at the Baseline 7-core GPU MacBook Air to the Baseline 8-core GPU MacBook Pro. The MBP generated the world (same seeds on both) like a second quicker however, the MacBook Air seemed a bit quicker for some reason (he used the same settings for graphics on both).
This comparison is not perfect. He did not shut down vsync which means that the FPS is limited to 60 FPS. It would have been interesting to see how much it can go.
The iOS, Android, and Windows 10 Minecraft versions all are compatible. However the Pocket Edition Realms server will not allow the PC and Mac versions to play with each one another. You can still play with your friends on Android and an iOS device.
