1. Open the Minecraft launcher.

2. Select the "Edit profile" button.

3. Change your version to Forge. For instance, if you have Forge 1.7.10 installed, you'll need to select "1.7.10 Forge" in the edit profile tab.

1 Open your Home Windows in your task bar, then type: "%appdata%".

2 Select 2. The ".minecraft" folder should be at the top of your browser.

3. Search for the "mods" folder. If you don't have one, make one and call it "mods".

4 If your mod file is a zip file after downloading it from the web, don't extract it, move the zip file to the "mods" folder. If the zip file contains Jar files, you'll only need to drag the jar file into the "mods" folder.

5 Open your minecraft launcher again (Make sure that you have set up your Forge profile If you haven't then read Part 3 again). Click "Play" and you just need to wait to download additional libraries, then when it's done, you can play the game that has been modified! Everything is updated and I tried everything I could to get it to load. All I see is the launch screen. What can I do to make it better?

Some mods require core mods (e.g. CodeChickenCore requires core mods ), so make sure you've go through the mod's webpage prior to downloading. It won't work if it doesn’t contain the core mods that are required.
