MINECRAFT 1.18 LAUNCHES THIS MONTH, BUT THREE MAJOR FEATURES ARE STILL "ON HOLD"



The snapshot betas were growing smaller and smaller and we were aware that it was coming - but now Mojang has announced it as official. The Minecraft 1.18 release date, which includes all the Caves & Cliffs Part 2 features, is scheduled to launch on November 30th. Gservers.Org The update will be available across all platforms Minecraft supports and will bring us a host new biomes, a revamped generation of worlds, and much more.



Minecraft 1.18 launches on November 30. The Java Edition update will be available on Windows, Mac, and Linux PCs, while the Bedrock Edition will launch on - deep breath - PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and Windows 10 and 11 PCs.



The update features new world generation and enhanced cave systems, as well as candles. But, as we've previously reported, some features have been delayed from 1.18 and will not be included in 1.19 (also called The Wild update) either as the developers have confirmed.



Archaeology, bundles and goat Horns, bundles, and goat "have been put on hold", as the devs explain in the announcement. "They have not been removed, we just needed to put them on the backburner for the moment..
