Note: As with most mods, OptiFine is only available in Minecraft: Java Edition.
OptiFine allows you to create and wear customized caps, as well as performance enhancements. But unlike the mod's other features caps are locked at the beginning.
OptiFine is free to download, but to unlock caps you need to contribute $10 to the OptiFine team. This webpage allows you to make a donation and choose the design of your cape. You'll need to enter your Minecraft username.
Once your cape is in use, you should see it appear on your character the next time you launch the game. If it isn't then you need to have OptiFine installed. To make sure your capes are activated in game, go to Options and then Skin Customization and finally ensure that the Cape is ON.
