Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born on 7 of the 7 of December 1973, to Mr and Mrs Tim Oyakhilome, as the first son of the family. After his secondary and primary education, he attend Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, Edo State, Nigeria where he obtained a BSc in Architecture.


AAU also awarded him an honourary Doctor of Science Award. He also holds an honorary doctorate in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. Reverend Chris was married to Anita Obhodaghe once, and they have two children.

YFC grew and was the largest of the fellowships on campus. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. Lagos is the church's main office. Believer's LoveWorld, a worldwide ministry with millions upon millions of associates around the world has been renamed Believers LoveWorld.
