How did the hand fetish come from? The term hand fetish is stemmed from the Greek word "kheir" indicating hand. It is a type of paraphilia in which an individual is attracted to hands and/or items that look like hands. Common hand fetishes include hair, nails, skin, wrinkles, Veiny hands, and rings.

When a male was convicted of having sex with the statue of a woman in a temple, the earliest recorded circumstances of a hand fetish is from the Fourth century BC. In the early 1900s, Sigmund Freud published a case research study about a guy who was sexually excited by his own hands.

While the exact origins of the hand fetish are unknown, it is believed to be a form of body dysmorphic condition. This is a psychological condition in which an individual fixates on a bodily flaw that is either nonexistent or minor. This fixation can cause compulsive habits such as excessive grooming or shopping for objects that resemble the preferred body part.

There is DominatrixCam.net for hand fetishism, however some clinicians think that treatment focused on decreasing anxiety and body dysmorphic disorder might be helpful.
