Saved game files are useful if you need to manually back them up and store them in a service cloud for sharing with others. The importance of saving game data is important considering how much time people spend on Minecraft. Let's now see where these files are on Mac and Windows.
Minecraft Save Game Files location on Mac OS
You can find saved games in all versions of MacOS or Mac OS X:
~/Library/Application Support/minecraft
To quickly jump to the destination, you can copy the file path into the Finder's Go To folder command (Command+Shift+G), or in Spotlight (command+spacebar).
This can also be accessed via Finder. Simply pull down the Go menu, hold down Option, then select "Library", then navigate to "Application support" and to Minecraft.
Minecraft Save Game File location on Windows PC
The following location can be used to locate Minecraft saved game files on Windows PCs:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft
Replace USERNAME with the user account.
You can also manually navigate into that directory by opening Windows Explorer.
You can add/remove saved game files on Mac and PC. They will be available when Minecraft opens in single player mode.
