How To Join A Minecraft Server On Windows 10


You can play Minecraft all by yourself. If you don't like multi-player games, the game has a single objective that you can pursue. However, there is an online-multiplayer version'. You can create online worlds and set up Minecaft servers to play with hundreds of others. Minecraft servers are exceptionally popular though the servers for the Java version don't let players using the Windows 10 UWP version of Minecraft join it. This is another compatibility issue.



That said, you can still join a Minecraft server from the UWP app. Here's how.



Locate a Server



You need to first find a server to join. You can search online directories for active Minecraft servers. Look for servers that support the PE and Bedrock editions. You should verify the availability of the server once you have found it. Some servers are available 24/7, while some are not. Minecraft Online A good directory will tell you if the server is online.



Once you have found the server, you must get its IP address. This could be a URL address or a sequence of numbers.



Join A Minecraft Server



Open Minecraft and click the Play button on the main screen. This will take you to the Worlds screen where you can pick a local world to play. There are two additional tabs on the Worlds screen. Click the Add Server button on the Servers tab.



On the Add Server screen type the IP address for your server in the IP address box. Also, enter a name. This name doesn't have to match the official name of the server. It can be called anything you like to help remember which one it belongs to. Click Play if you want to play right away, or click Save and the server will appear in the list of servers when you go to this tab from the Play screen.



The server connects to your computer and loads the game. The server speed and your internet connection may cause some lag during game play. This has nothing whatsoever to do directly with the game. It is all about your internet connection speed.



Tap the Escape key to quit a server gaming session. It is important to note that this game is online and you cannot pause it. Also, if you die, the game will end. Your items can be taken by other players, and your home may be raided.
