Minetest is the free and open source game engine voxel, inspired originally by Minecraft it's slowly becoming more and better, with a variety of games available for it. Minetest 5.4.0 is getting a new release. They've released their first release Candidate. This is the time they require as many people as possible to test it and ensure it runs properly.

They added an in-game UI for downloading games and mods back in Minetest 5.0, which was released in 2019. While it worked it was improved it with every release. However, the dependency system was a major issue. One mod needed another, and another was required, and it went on. Finding the right one was a challenge but maybe no longer. The 5.4 release features a brand new interface flow for downloading mods and games, as well as dependency resolution, an ability to update all, as well as download queues.
